Our Process
Our process is designed to make restoration simple and stress-free. From prompt damage assessment to detailed estimates and seamless coordination with your insurance provider, we handle every step to restore your home with care and precision.
Your first call should be to emergency services or a mitigation company and then your insurance company. Once your insurance adjuster has initiated your claim, GPS Restoration is your next call. If you are uncertain at any point along the way, reach out to us and we will point you in the right direction.
Initial Assessment: We will come to your property and review the insurance adjuster’s claim information and update it with our own assessment.
Cost Estimate: We use Xactimate, the same software the insurance company uses, to develop a full proposal that includes the cost for all tasks and materials needed to restore your home.
Finalizing the Cost Estimate: We present the cost estimate to you and your insurance adjuster. By working directly with your adjuster we are able to ensure that our costs are aligned with your insurance coverage. Depending on your coverage, you may only have to pay your deductible unless you add items or upgrade materials.
When we reach agreement with you and the adjuster as to the scope and costs, you will receive a check from the insurance company.
We will send you a contract and an invoice for half of the cost as a down payment.
Upon receipt of the signed contract and payment of the invoice we will begin planning your project.
Often there are modifications to the scope of work and costs as the work progresses. We will continue to communicate these changes with you and the insurance adjuster to ensure you are compensated to the full extent of your policy for all covered items.
